From the Composer, Dawna Devi

I found a Facebook group where I was introduced to the sound Shreem Brzee, the mantra for spiritual and material wealth. Through this mantra, I also learned about the master that brought us the mantra, Dr. Baskaran Pillai, our beloved “Babaji.”

I began to dive deeply into more of his teachings with complete faith. I would listen to his solo voice, feeling his transformational vocal power, the sacred sounds of a Siddha master. But I would think, “Wouldn’t it be great to add musical underscoring to his chanting?!”

So, I began to compose and record musical accompaniment to his sublime chanting and meditations. Being an American with a taste for kirtan, I love orchestrating the music to be a merging of East and West; the instrumentation and ragas of ancient India melded together with the Western symphonic instruments. I call upon the divine beings to use me to create music that will enhance the experience of the listener, open their hearts, and touch their souls. I offer love and gratitude to all who listen to these audios.
